Radhasri

Radhasri (Raad-ha-shree, Rhonda Fogel) has taught yoga full time since 1998 and has been the coordinator of 'Hatha Yoga Shala' (formerly known as 'The Wandering Yogi Studio') since 2000, running the Vancouver, BC based yoga studio for 8 years.

Paramahansa Niranjanananda Saraswati gave her a spiritual name in 2002 on the first of several trips to India for studies. A student of Hatha Yoga, Ayurveda and Tantra, she has drawn inspiration from Robert Svoboda and honors the teachings of Donna Farhi, Ifat Erez and Ana Forrest, all three of whom she has completed teacher trainings with.

Radhasri has been studying solely under the guidance of Zhander Remete and Emma Balnaves of the Shadow School of Hatha Yoga since April 2004 and completed a 3 year teacher training with them. Radhasri is currently the only approved Shadow Yoga teacher teaching in Canada.

As of 2010 she lives and teaches in Montreal, Quebec and is available for personal consultations.

 

Grant Couture

In 1998 Grant founded 'The Wandering Yogi Studio' in the Commercial Drive area of Vancouver, B.C. He currently studies under the guidance of Zhander Remete and Emma Balnaves through their Shadow School of Hatha Yoga.

Grant has been practicing yoga since 1996. He was drafted to the Pittsburgh Penguins of the National Hockey League when he was 17 years old. Grant went on to University Hockey where he played for the National and Regional Championship hockey team.

After graduating from U of A, Grant worked as an Exploration Geologist in various parts of Northern Canada. In 1991 he received an MSc Mineral Exploration from Queens University in Kingston. Until 1998, he traveled and worked in geology throughout the world exploring for gold and precious metal deposits.

Steve Ilg, www.wholisticfitness.com, who Outside Magazine considered to be 'the fittest human on Earth', trained Grant as a Wholistic Fitness Teacher from 1996 to 2002. Under Steve's direct guidance he learned about Strength Training, Yoga, Aimawa, Chinese Herbs, Native American Tradition, Bodywork, Buddhist Teachings, and Meditation. Through Tom Brown Jr. (Wilderness Survival and Tracker School) and Malcolm Ringwalt (Earth-Heart Institute of Vision and Healing), Grant learned Questing and its various manifestations and Quest Protection. He has also taken teacher trainings with Ana Forrest, Baron Baptiste, Ifat Erez, and Donna Farhi.

Grant is in the process of relocating to Montreal, Quebec and is currently on break from teaching.
