Shala GuidelinesYour observances of the following guidelines help make classes fruitful: Arrive early - Doors lock on time, come prepared to start. Students must stay for the entire class time. Leaving early or arriving late is not accepted. Empty stomach - It is imperative to come on an empty stomach. Do not eat or drink before morning classes and leave 2 hours between eating and practicing in the afternoons, 4 hours after a heavy meal. No water or food - Do not bring any drinks, water bottles or food to class. Hydrate a maximum of 60 minutes before practicing and wait a minimum of 30 minutes after. Refrain from using heavy scents - This includes natural oils. Yoga mats need to be supplied by the student. Menstruation - Women in the first 3 days of their menstrual cycle will be asked to sit quietly and watch. They should not participate in the physical practice. Honor these days with rest. Remove jewelry. Turn off anything that rings or beeps. Advise us of any special needs. - Health problems or injuries must be reported before commencing.
