It will help to use the mantra “this too shall pass” over the decade or so where all women undergo the inevitable and unavoidable “change”. Accepting this time of transformation is key to lessening symptoms, as is letting go of the need to control and fix things. You do not need to be fixed. You need to surrender, listen and pay attention. The metamorphosis is occurring and a beautiful new you awaits on the other side.

A woman’s yoga practice, diet and daily routines should continuously adapt to her many changing cycles of transformation. Through menstruation, pregnancy and menopause each woman can alter her actions to suit that period of time. Respecting these fluctuations can greatly help ease her way into the later years of her life.

Some poses for women’s health will be demonstrated as well as discussions on Ayurvedic doshas, yoga lifestyle and tips on navigating the rocky years of the ripening woman’s life.

 

Pre-requisites: Being female. Having a yoga practice is not necessary. For all women ages 35 – 90.
